Event Background:
With the rapid development of China's manufacturing industry, shortages of resources and energy are increasingly serious, and water scarcity and pollution have gradually become the biggest obstacles to sustainable economic development, which promotes China's water-soluble polymer industry to increase rapidly.
China is a key producer and consumer country of water-soluble polymers worldwide and can manufacture primary products including polyacrylamide, polyvinyl alcohol, polyacrylic acid, polyvinyl pyrrolidone, polyethylene oxide, xanthan gum, cellulose ethers, super absorbent polymers and so on. China produced 40% of the world’s polyacrylamide in 2008, after a period of development with an average annual growth rate of more than 20%.
Water-Soluble Polymers are applied in all areas throughout the economy, especially with wide applications in water treatment, oil production, paper making, mineral processing, foodstuffs, textiles, building materials and environmental protection industries, and they show a huge potential for market growth.
At present, the Chinese government’s "RMB4 trillion investment" along with other economic stimulus packages are helping China's economy to show a good trend, while the gradually grown and opened Chinese market is becoming an important place to grow business for the international manufacturing companies. Amid the stimulation of energy conservation and environmental protection, China’s water-soluble polymer industry presents boosting prospects and attracts more and more well-known chemical multinationals to join in.
