Dr. Xujian, Research Scientist, Vice Director of Institute of Chemistry of Chinese Academy of Science, member of Academic Committee of Institute of Chemistry, member of Academic Committee of Molecular Science Center of Chinese Academy of Science, leader of expert team of new materials for 863 high-tech plan of Ministry of Science and Technology, Standing Director of Chinese Material Research Society, Deputy Secretary-general of Beijing Chemical Society. Main Research Directions: bionic polymer synthesis,  intelligent response; controlled release and cell immobilization; condensing dynamic process of smart gel; molecular diffusion and molecular recognition, high performance functional polymer materials and polymer optic fiber materials. In 2005 he was awarded the Outstanding Youth Fund by National Nature Science Foundation of China. Until now he has published over 120 papers, gained 21 invention patents and applied 12 invention patents.
